Hokkaido boasts many renowned ramen shops, such as Aoba, Hachiya, and Keyaki Ramen.
Among them, Asahikawa is particularly known for its soy sauce-flavored ramen, holding a significant place in the ramen world.
Baikohken is one of the older, well-known ramen shops in Asahikawa.
On previous visits to Asahikawa, I often arrived too late to try it.
This time, my wife received this gift, and I was quite pleased.
(All my ramen souvenir pack articles are thanks to my wife)

Looking at the back, this pack serves two people.

Here’s what it looks like when opened.

It’s straightforward: two servings, so there are 2 packets of soy sauce and 2 portions of noodles.

Here’s the result after cooking.
Lately, I’ve been too lazy to make soft-boiled eggs, so I just boiled the eggs. They turned out semi-soft. (I didn’t soak them in the sauce)
I also added some bok choy and cabbage (dried vegetables).

Since I’ve never tried Baikohken before, I’m not sure if this broth matches what they serve in the shop.
The broth has a soy sauce base, but it doesn’t taste like plain soy sauce.

The noodles are relatively thick.
However, I’m not sure if I didn’t cook them long enough, as they felt a bit too firm.

That’s a simple review of the Baikohken souvenir pack.
In conclusion,
My personal rating: ★★★☆ (3.2)
I’ve never eaten Baikohken’s ramen in the shop, so I can’t compare.
Honestly, I’m not a big fan of Baikohken’s ramen.
Maybe it’s because they add fish…
(I like eating fish, but I don’t like fish flavor in the broth…)
Ramen source: A gift from my wife
Cost: Not sure (probably under ¥800)
Rating criteria:
Five stars: Super delicious; makes you want to find it in Taiwan!!
Four stars: Tasty; would buy again if visiting Japan
Three stars: Not bad; good to try once
Two stars: Average; worth trying if curious
One star: Never again (potential disaster)
